AP Cyber
The College Board will be introducing to different AP CK Cyber Security Courses next year: One is called "Security" while the other is called "Networking." Westhill High School has been chosen to be an early pilot provider for the Security version of this new AP course. Ms. Jackie Esker (104/106/414) will be teaching this new AP course at Westhill in the 2025-2026 academic year. Please reach out to her to find out more information about this exciting new offering at Westhill.
WHY CHOOSE CYBERSECURITY? Did you know there are 2,300 cyberattacks every day? Cybersecurity is a growing field with well-paying jobs. There are over 500,000 job openings in the U.S., and many don’t require a bachelor’s degree. Cybersecurity skills are useful in many careers including healthcare, education, finance, manufacturing, agriculture, and more.
Here is some additional information about the course:
It will meet every other day for the entire year;
There will be an AP exam in early May related to this course;
The course will be a one-credit offering from the Career and Technical Education (CTE) Department;
